Ahhh much better. I don’t care how long my natural hair gets it’s never good enough after having extensions for so long.

With extensions it takes minimal effort for my hair to look good. It actually holds a curl and I can go longer without washing it. It’s a no brainer for me.🤷🏼‍♀️

The answer is hair extensions. We just got back from a week at Disney World and I got so many compliments on my hair. My 15 year old our first day in the parks kept making comments about how shocked she was that my hair was still curled and looked so good.

I laughed and said that’s because it’s not mine 😂 Even in the 95°+ heat and Florida humidity my style still stayed. My real hair lost a lot of its curl but it still looked good. Just to show you, these pictures of me were taken after we had spent 9 hours straight at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Still 👌🏼

Here’s our top tips to make sure you get the longest life out of your hair extension investment 🫶🏼

1. Use salon quality products. We make sure to go over product recommendations after your installation. And any product we carry in the salon is compatible with extensions.
2. Brush 2-3 times a day and oil mid strands to ends DAILY. The hair extensions need the nourishment since they’re not getting anything from within anymore.
3. NEVER, I repeat NEVER sleep with your extensions wet. Always make sure it is dry and either put in a loose braid or bun.
4. Now that summer is coming you need to check the sunscreen you are using. The only active ingredient you want to see is zinc oxide. Anything else can discolor your hair and leave you needing to replace it sooner than expected.

Does it feel like half of your hair ends up clogging the drain every shower?

You’re not alone. Late summer and early autumn seem to be the season of hair rebellion for many of us!

Here's what's up: Your hair has a natural cycle, including a 'break' phase known as telogen, during which our hair tends to fall out/shed more easily.

During summer, our hair acts like a sun hat to protect our scalps from UV rays. As the days get shorter and sunnier days become fewer and farther between, we start to shed the hair we needed for scalp protection in the summer. Hence - crazy shedding this time of year!

So rest assured if you feel like half your hair is collecting at the shower drain every time you wash. More shedding this time of year is completely normal! But as always, consult with your doctor if you feel your hair shedding isn’t normal to you.
